SciFi and Fantasy Art: Peacock Dragon

This was actually inspired by a picture drawn by Christine Cermak in gallery 140. She had a rainbow dragon drawn over a peacock feather, and so she titled it 'Peacock Dragon'. The NAME is actually what inspired this drawing.. but that is alright.. Right? :) The original is much better (as usual) since I DID use metallic gel pens. (the shiney thigns just DON'T scan! (*sighs!*)). Anywayz.. the yellow parts (stomach scales, nose scales, wing bones, spikey thingies on his back.. etc) are ACTUALLY a bronze color... Of which looks MUCH better than the yellow or gold... which is why I actually colored OVER the gold with bronze.. and thus why it's yellow. Her body is really a deep blue sparkle gel pen, with black colored pencil over it.. so that it is black.. but has a blue sheen. And I'm sorry about the funky 'wig' lookin thing on her head.. I tried to fix that.. but it's kinda complicated with gel pans. (*sighs*. Gel pens and Colored Pencils on White paper.. cut out and pasted to black paper.

13 Oct 2000	ERICA!	Loading... This picture is REALLY cool. I like the way you took someone else's "idea" and made it your own, along with the idea of taking two totally unrelated things (at least in my opinion) and tying them together to make an original! Keep up the FANTASTIC work!
