SciFi and Fantasy Art: Gel Phoenix

This picture was a very recent piece, done in my sketchbook given to me by my boyfriend. :) The phoenix is drawn and colored with red, orange, yellow, gold, and bronze gel pens. The background was colored much later on, with a charcoal pencil. a lot of the color is reduced whenever scanned.. I tried to fix it on the computer, but I couldn't quite get the yellow, bronze, or the gold to work....
