SciFi and Fantasy Art: Tristan Redux

I completely revamped this drawing, which originally came out looking like Spock on a very bad hair day. He himself is a little too pale, but I'm happy with the results--all colored pencil, except the background, which is Nupastel. You wouldn't believe the trouble I had to go to in order to keep myself from leaving green fingerprints all over that white hair.

I too feel your pain. I really like the beads on the hair. I've enjoyed all of your art.

Nupastels are sort of like chalk pastels, only harder and not *quite* so messy. They do leave colored powder everywhere and stain your fingers, though. My desk had a green tinge by the time I was done with this, and I had to cover the face and hair with a piece of typing paper to keep them from getting stained.

I suggest you darken the lines and shadows more. There should be areas of dark brown on his skin. Right now the whole looks like a vague whitish blur, though that could just be because I a bit more myopic to day than normal 10

I think the pale look of his face gives a really cool glow to the pic...very nice!

I love green eyes. I've always loved green eyes. I've always wanted to meet a cute guy with bright green eyes. Meeting a cute guy elf with bright green eyes would be even better. I love the eyes.

Wow!!! This picture is absolutely amazing. You are an awsome artist, I look forward to viewing more of your work. I must now go buy these nupastels, I am stunned by the intensity of color. I can't get that green out of my head.... you should do more pictures like that. 12 Keep it up.

I love the way you made him look so young and yet his expression so wise. And the colors are stunning! He's not too pale in my opinion; it adds to the effect.

Yeah, I can sort of see a Leonard Nimoy in him...
Great picture. I wish I could draw people like that, but I probably shouldn't try anymore. I should leave that to talented people like you.

Just a quick tip, though I'm not sure if it'll work or not: try wrapping the nupastal in a tissue except for the very tip when using it and your fingers won't get quite os messy! Purty pic ^~^
