| 18 Jun 2007 | Alex P. Smith | This is absolutely beautiful, one of the best pieces I've seen on elfwood in the last couple of years, the way you managed to integrate the leaf showing the memory which must have been a challenge, I usually like to give crits but I really can't see a single thing wrong here, the skin tones and the perfect variations are amazing, not to strong but also not so weak that you don't pay them any attention and oils are meant to be incredibly difficult to paint in anyway, just wondering, what size canvas did you use here. Hmm maybe the leaf leading of the right side of her face (ours) into her hair making it a light shade of blue is a little bit too strong but hey you know more about this than me, anyway once again beautiful. Thomas A Launy replies: "Thanks Alex! The canvas size is F8. It´s a mixt media, oil and blue ballpoint pen...!! " | |
