SciFi and Fantasy Art: Peaceful Moment

O.O So beautiful! I wanna see it done! X3 I used to be -obsessed- with horses hehe^^

I am not an expert at drawing horses, but it seems to me that the legs are a little off. Like they are at a different perspective than the rest of the piece. It is still very nice, though. Very good shading.

I really do like this one, and your sense of preportion is great. However, the legs are off, but not how you might think. The positions are great.. if you reversed sides. Usually a horse will tuck the legs that are beneath up close to their body, while the "upper" legs are stretched out more. Here you have that reversed. Does that make any sense? ::half smile:: Keep up the great job you are doing! I'd love to see more!

You could put it on a nest of some kind...?
It would suit to the pose of the legs, but I suppose it would be more pegasus-like?

The comment about the legs being in a "wrong" position stayed in my mind for a reason of its own... And last night, when I was going through my Photographic Reference on Horses (got literally hundreds of them - and all taken by me! *proud*) I came across a shetland foal that had the exact same position as your uni foal! Mail me if anyone's got doubts, I can prove it... \

Aaaaw! It's so sweet! *loves unicorns* When I was a child I used to force my grandma to go out with me in the woods to try and look for them *giggles* I can't draw them myself though, so look through the woods for others.. *wonders if she can grab a carrot and make the little beast come with her* I think it's a lovely, relaxed pose. Maybe he's lying on soft moss in a little glen in the forest, possibly with a small stream in the background. =) Oh.. such a sweetie! *ruffles the little one's mane and then runs back to her gallery, holding a stick with a carrot dangling in the end, hoping the foal will follow*

This is absolutely gorgeous!! All the preportions and anatomy are perfect!! Maybe a grassy field with little flowers would be a good background, it could suit the little guy.

whoa..... really cool piccie... horses are about the only thing i can draw and u r reallly good at them.... just ONE little comment tho... the 'rear end' of the horse sticks out a LIL too much... i think it would be better if they seemed to blend more into the change from rump to leg....
