SciFi and Fantasy Art: It's a long way down

A pair of fairies try to coax Samuel, a very young dragon, off a cliff for his first flight. he's my first attempt at computer coloring. the background pic is from a friend, Tom Ragsdale. circa 1998-ish.

Hey, I LIKE him! Also the pink fairy. The purple fairy is working awfully hard. You've done a good job showing her effort. I love bright colors, and your use of them is very cheering.

Argh you used that crack-head photo delux as well. I have suffered my way through sevral Photo delux colering jobs. Scairely enough I have almost gotten good at it. I feel your pain.

Detail is great, but you have to remember one thing is to make it real. What I mean is the size of the dragons body compare the size of he's wings. Even if he is a new learner the wings should at least be medium size so he can hold he's weight. Don't worry I even make the same mistake at times hehe it very good I like how you also put attitude in your drawlings keep it up!!!

Cyoot! Only thing is, now this is just my opinion, for a draclet, his body is slightly out of proportion. Draclets wings are usually huge, too big for their body, the length of the tail is great, but, once again in draclets, the necks are usually too long for their body, as is the head too big. When draclets are born, they are generally out of proportion and awful gaunt. Remember, this is just my opinion ^-^

*giggles* I can well understand the dragon's reclutance to find out if his wings work... ^_^
