SciFi and Fantasy Art: Boo!

A background! I actually drew a background, not much of one admittedly, but it's a start. The reason for the sort of odd perspective is that the creature seems to have just jumped up, possilby from the undergrowth or maybe just from a crack in the earth... There's an idea, but it's supposed to look like the scene has been shattered by the appearance of this creature.

The very barren look of the trees do help that idea. Definitely a good start if you don't normally do backgrounds, and neat style on the creature there.
