SciFi and Fantasy Art: Bat Dance

I sketched this at Anthrocon and only finished coloring it ten months later. Obviously my ink and color backlog is horrendous.

The weird proportions are deliberate, I was playing around with the idea of bat furries again and I haven't quite decided how I want to draw them. Since clothing bats is hard she's not wearing much, and while she's pierced fairly heavily the jewelry along her arms and leading wing edge is all clip-on/cuff style and doesn't penetrate the wing membrane.

I really like it, but think she should be a wee bit darker? But otherwise - so awesome! Much better than I'll ever be able to do.

:-) Lynn A. Davis replies: "She's based of a Honduran white bat so she wouldn't be any darker, if anything her wing membranes should be lighter. Though that's debatable, when you size them up the skin has to get a bit thicker and there needs to be a more abundant blood supply in them, which would make them darker."
