SciFi and Fantasy Art: Nakyta

'Kyta is my snow leopard MUCK character, and no, I didn't forget her spots. Either she lacks black pigmentation or she bleaches them out (or both). Given her fondness for hair dye I wouldn't rule out the bleach.

great job, I think there should be more comments for this, very detailed background with the textures and blocks, very nicely done on the twist of her legs, wonderful!

The body is truly stunning, but the head may be a little small. Don't be discouraged, I had the same problem. Try drawing the body first with a rough sketch of the head, then make the head the right size. (I like the tie-die hair.)

:-) Lynn A. Davis replies: "While I admit less than happiness with the head I do wonder what people are using for a standard of 'two small'. The common huge headed version of furries? With humans, the skull is one third the width of the shoulders. That is the proportion that I try to use as a guide since I'd like to think my furries wouldn't have to be delievered by cesarean section."

When you look at a real cat you'll see that his head is just a bit wider than it's chest. That is something we half / half expect when seeing a cat's head on anything. What would be a good thing to try, is making the head somewhat larger than you think would look "real" .. Say, 150% of what it is now, so it's not one third of the width of the shoulders but something like one half or two thirds the width. In mo opinion that looks the best. Also, her muzzle seems just a tad too elongated, but this is nitpicking. For the rest, this is an excellent picture, excellent form. I envy the curves and shading you put into it to make it look so seductive yet realistic.

*drools* Hubba! *wishes he had talent like that* Has so many pictures rattling around in his head... But I suck as an artist... all I can draw are lil cartoony lions... *sighs* I can't even do a deacent tree branch they all turn into trunks. *sighs* Ah well enough gazing at your gorgeous art... Back to my stupid Psych 440 Paper... *mutters at himself for procrastinating....

The position is amazing. o_o I can hardly draw a woman from behind, and you do something like this.
The head is NOT too big. It's just human-like (in the matter of size proportion).

:-) Lynn A. Davis replies: "I used a reference for the pose on this one, an Olivia print. 2 I have to admit it is one of my favorite poses for some reason, I should do it again since I seemed to have made another jump in skill recently."
