SciFi and Fantasy Art: Lizardess Sleeping

This is the oldest image I plan to upload! My rock dragon character, Tephra, is fond of shape shifting. This is one of her alternate forms taking a nap (this form has no eyelids, like a snake). Scanned and digitally enhanced/shaded colored pencil and ink image.

First comment: This pattern is sooo wicked!!! Just love it, you really have a great talent for patterns, post more of this!

:-) Lynn A. Davis replies: "Aw, you're making me blush! *blush* Getting her pattern symetric took a lot of time and several false starts. I dread trying to draw her again and duplicating that pattern. Though I have done a ribcage up torso and head shot, but there's not that much pattern to duplicate on her front side (thankfully!)"

She seems like she's awake to me because of her hands being open, her fingers outstretched. When you relax completely or fall asleep, don't your fingers naturally curl inwards? Mine do. Anyway, that gives me the feeling she's just sort of posing against the pillows, not totally relaxed, asleep. I think her tail and the rest of her body look very relaxed though, it was just that one thing that I noticed.

:-) Lynn A. Davis replies: "The hands do have a bit too much tension, but then this was done several years ago when I wasn't as comfortable drawing (and I still have a hell of a time with hands. 10 )"

To tell you the Truth,I have a sexual infatuation with anthromorphic women.I think she's sexy. This may contradict to my last comment on a different pic, though.I wanna be in that bed with her!

She's awsome... very sexy snake but I dont see her as being asleep she looks like she is scaling the wall. Wonderful tail and position of the head. She is everything that a fellow snake morph could ask for. I role play a female snake anthromorph and recently scoffed at an artists rendition of our race that was SOOO unsexy. This is WAY more like it.

If not for the "pillowy" effect of the background, I would almost say she was dancing. Very pretty. *g*
