Upon completion of my Animal Science degree, I found that Veterinary school would be a bit difficult for me to attend. Thus, I ended my studies in that favored field and began to work as a Secretary at a local University. This has given me the opportunity to take some courses in Digital Graphics. I have always enjoyed drawing creatures of both mystical and normal nature, and now I have the opportunity to do so using a computer. Keep an eye on the descriptions of the work to discover what programs were used in their creation.

Hey! I'm Lavender, from down the way, and I wanted to welcome you to this neck of the woods! I love your pictures... You have a lot of talent in drawing horses.. I find their legs really difficult to do, but you seem to have it down. Well, keep up the good work. I hope you'll add more to your fine gallery!

:-) Leah J. Bowen replies: "I've done a lot of study on equine anatomy. I'm certain i'm not drawing perfect horse figures, however the understanding of how they are put together does help immensely."

Hi welcome to the gallery 2 My favorite so far is the pegasus, but everything else is looking great! Btw, I also started out with an animal science major.. but cutting into animals was much harder for me to do than I expected.. I found out that working with children and education was more of the path for me (my gallery is mostly made up of illustrations for children's books and the like). Anyways great start!! Can't wait to see more 2

Beautiful work! I would love to see more of your it- keep it up!
You capture your characters beautifully. I love your use of color and the flowing lines which gives each painting its own life.
    Congratulations!

You should give up really, I mean obviously no one would like to see this in a gallery
specially that last picture with you and the horse I can't really see which one is you since you both look the same

9 Leah J. Bowen replies: "I really hope you don't speak to all the folks whose creativity you don't enjoy this way. An impressionable youngster would be very discouraged. There is no need for ever "giving up" and there is ALWAYS room for improvement. I'd like to see your art sometime."
