SciFi and Fantasy Art: On Silver Wings

I drew this picture because... Well, I really don't know why I drew this picture. I think maybe It just felt right... Anyways, it's a girl who found the ultimate freedom at the ultimate cost(only in this picture, she doesn't know the cost yet, only the freedom, and a kind of determination...hence the expression)...a little back story I'm writing about dreams that come true...in their entirety. Well, a story that I WOULD be writing, only I'm in the process of another story... I was told the coloring made her look like a Gundam. Go figure. I want to add a background, also, but I'm not sure what. So, as usual, comments appreciated. (2000)

Those wings are so swifty! you said you weren't going to knitpick on my stuff so I won't knitpick on her right leg being to short *oops* but it hardly matters because you've got that neato feather thing going on. This character design is SO ORIGINAL! I think you should redraw her a couple times, and develop the character not only in writing but also in pictures.

Wow, this would make the perfect tattoo for a shoulder blade if you want something semi-tribal and also something that's equally holding in the anime sense! This is great! I'd suggest doing more, then maybe I'll be compelled to get another one. ::Winks::

I was very impressed with all your drawings, but Silver Wings caught my eye the most. I am doing a project on creating a culture and was wondering if I could use her for my "Creator". e-mail me back to answer, please.

I definately favor this picture. Yes, her wings are very gundam-like. and I wonder...I wonder if the wire lacing on her legs get annoying to her. They look like they would cut into her skin when she moves. They look cool though. SPIFFY...She looks absolutely spiffy. ^_-

She does look native american. Those are wings, you say? It looks like a really elaborate headdress.. I still like it a lot, either way!

Ooo... very nice. I love her pose, and the colouring is very nice, too (and IMHO, it isn't too Gundam-y)

I particularly like the sort of feel of the wings; they strike me as armored, heavy things that nevertheless allow her to fly.

I shall have to add her to my army of Doom.
