SciFi and Fantasy Art: Unknown magic effect

I want to draw some special effect, so I use many unknown function brush in Painter 5. At least they are usefull to draw this magic effect.

interesting. although it looks to me like u just used a brush or 2 and squiggled the lines around.

I think this is very good. Good magic effects hare so hard to come by these days... anyway, it´s just got me wondering, who was the magician who did this magic effect? You could draw them.
