SciFi and Fantasy Art: Fire Demon

This is a piece composed of color pencil, ink, and colored marker. I kinda like the contrast of red on pitch black. Although I also liked not having to implement a background. ;)

I like this one... he's got that style of yours in him again... but then... why wouldn't he? You drew it... duh. Yes... the only thing that bothers me is the white border line that you've given him. It's not that it doesn't help with contrast.. because it does, but i think that contrast should be created more with color on color rather than a line being placed in there. Ok that's all... *runs away before she's beaten brutally for even slightly implying an imperfection*I'll take your criticism into consideration, it's just a habit I have from my comic book art influence.

-hangs on to Rachel, keeps her here.- You're right, but it is still a fabulous picture! -nodnods.- Now THAT is a Chess-playin' demon. Y'wanna have a game right now?! -gets all in his face.- Bring it on!!Yeah, this guy can play a mean Queens Gambit-Angry Red Demon variation. You should see him! 14

I don't really have a problem with the white outline, but I do think that his other fill in color, besides red, could be something a little darker.. just a suggestion 2 I'm not totally satisfied with the wings either.

THIS is very good, I find too the red on black does bring out the warm color of the red muc, also the expresion on the face of the fire demon combined with the musclure build of the creature gives to the whole mid-action concept that you must of been going with.. however the bonestructure for the hands seem real enough but after a moment of looking, you might have doubts if the bones might real be able to move that way. Also another small fact, is the look of the wings on the back of the creature seem excelent but I think that the back build of the demon seem to betray a sense that the wings are too much for the demon to hold... But in the all, excelent... It what i was thinking of when i had a fire demon a character in my book looked like I love it.. may i please get a copy to look at for my novel writing, I mean May I have permision to use it for my novel making?

Is this what you look like when you are constipated? I think so!
