SciFi and Fantasy Art: For you I would crawl, Through the darkest dungeon...

This is a piece I did for my Myths and Magic class. It's supposed to be a contemporary update on the fairy tale of Rapunzel, thus I took lyrics from the Dave Matthews Band song 'Rapunzel' and derived illustrations from them. I think it deviates contemporarily not in the traditional sense, but rather in that we associate the tale of Rapunzel with a woman, and neither of the images directly feature one. Instead, the text and tower in the right illustration only imply her presence.
