SciFi and Fantasy Art: Gargoyle Metamorphosis - Elongated HorizontalThis series of paintings was done for my Color Theory class. We were supposed to do a series of 5 sequential paintings, somehow related (i chose to link them together through the idea of metamorphosis), with three or more objects in each. Although there are two other objects besides the gargoyle, a black sheet of paper with holes cut out, and a harmonica, the predominant image is the gargoyle's face. This paintings are rendered in 5 different colors schemes, each with blue as a base hue. This painting is a tetrad, meaning it utilizes four colors; blue, orange, red, and green, as well as black and white. | |
