SciFi and Fantasy Art: Namárië

Goodbye, that is. Galadriel´s song to the Fellowship when they left Lorien. My first try to make something in the style of old manuscripts, I really don´t like the colouring of the borders and there are some typos in the text but anyway... Watercolour, august 2002. A little bigger version Here.

Oh, it's beautiful! I KNEW I wasn't the only one who wrights in Quenya around here!
You wrote it so perfect (mine looks more Arabic). The background is also very beautiful! Wow, I could look at this picture for hours. WELL DONE!!
Hey, couls you do me a favour? Would you like to juge my picture at my gallery? After seeing this, I know mine isn't perfect at all (never thought that anyway) and I wonder if you could give me some tips or something. Thank you.

Great work!
Link to your page was posted in a brazilian Tolkien group of discussion and we all visited. There were a lot of comments among us, all saying how great it was. Congratulations, it's really beautiful!!

I love this you did a great job.2 I always wondered what language it is she said this in is it Quenya or sindarin. I always thought Quenya but I could be wrong. Well I know its the TTengwar script anyway and its read left to right2

oooh. I love how the stain thingos make a pattern of a tree in the background. It makes it very Lothlórien-ish.

Good job!

P.S. How on earth did you do the knot patterns?!?!?

I saw them on another one of your art works. You're really good at them!

Say, this is beautiful. What else can I say? Well, maybe the border is a little bit too dark or strong or something, but I didn't even notice it before you mentioned it...
I used to try to learn tengwar before, but I didn't understand anything about it so I gave up. I see you can write it 2 This is truly lovely.

Is the white white, or badly scanned silver? Anyway, I'd have probably used a nice blue instead, but it's very nice as it is, just a tad bright.

:-) Hanna Lehmusto replies: "White really is white, and IMHO too a bit too bright.. The combination of colours looked great on another place and situation -actually, a sweater from which I got the inspiration.. In here, it really seems that the bright white could've looked better if it wasn't so bright; more natural shade of white would be better -or, blue, never really thought of that but it sounds great too *g* Anyway. thanks for the nice comment! "
