SciFi and Fantasy Art: Remembering

I quess most of you know the situation. Beautiful yet painful memories will not give a moment of peace, and it´s impossible to stop them from haunting you... And you don´t even want to stop them, after all, they´re all there is left of those moments. Was it yesterday or a thousand years ago? Did it really happen at all? ...maybe it was just a dream?

Colour pencils and Photoshop, finished in october 2002. And yes, before anyone notices it (or at least mentions of it) the text contains quite a funny typo -malda suddenly became melda...

Oh, well. Over three years after this pic is published, I quess I should tell what the text says. My source of inspiration, I hope you won't think ill of this;

The winds are getting colder.
Autumn entered this town on the day of your leaving.
And I have lost my heart, and I believe it is to be found in the place where you dwell.
Far it is, and long months of darkness will pass till the hour of our meeting.
I will wait for the spring,
I will wait for the light...
And I will wait for you.

Not that I know anything about Photoshop, but...I believe you understand. Nice image, nice composition, nice concept...Just out of curiosity, what does the Tengwar translate as? Your drawing(s) have perked my interest. Namarie, and I'm looking forward to your next update. Hanna Lehmusto replies: "Oh, the tengwar... I better not tell... The meaning of the text changed so completely when translated, for quenya vocabulary is lacking some quite important words... And I´m not even really sure of some things with the grammar, but anyway... It´s supposed to be something über-romantic blathering about longing (quite icky, actually...) I really deserve a kick just for writing that, believe me! g"

If I ever did something like that I would be reluctant to provide a translation...and I echo your frustration about Elven grammar (although Sindarin is more my focus, on the rare occasion I feel excessively scholar-ish). And I don't think you deserve to be kicked. You were inspired, and sometimes compulsive 'trial-runs' yield the better work. If you really feel bad, though, you're going to have to kick yourself, because virtually no one else knows what you wrote.
