SciFi and Fantasy Art: A Lhun-ar Meeting

Mike, Leopardwolf's mate, was celebrating his birthday, and thus I rustled up this picture for them. She (Leopardwolf) is a real sweetie and has done so much for me, other people and kitties, that she definitely deserves more art then she gets! The pose and posture of the wolves is taken from my book 'Wolves: A Portrait of the Animal World' by Leonard Lee Rue III. I believe the photo is his too. I'm not so good at drawing wolves from my head. Technically speaking, Lhunie is in the submissive pose here, but it was the best pose to show off her stripey-butt.

Argh - I just realised I uploaded the work in progress picture by mistake! As soon as I'm cleared to post another ticket, I'll update this image with the actual completed picture.

Well I feel stupid. I spelled Leopardwolf so wrong. But it's still a great pic!

This is very cute! I love black wolves, and I had never thought of a leopard wolf before. She looks very beautiful, and I like the idea of the stripes and spots together. I have used that pattern in my own drawings as well.
