SciFi and Fantasy Art: Phoenix-Gryphon flying high

When I drew this I initially set out to draw somethign completely different, but as I stared at the completely blank page I could 'see' the eye, the beak and the left wing in startling clarity and I thought 'with inspiration like that, I'd better draw it' and so I did, and it is probably my best gryphon piece to date (ie: not fuzzy-cute). This is Ravyn's char, Solaris, a Phoenix-Tiger gryph and she is coloured in Aquarell pencils. Just to prove I DO use other mediums aside from CG!

*first coment dance* Woo!Very nice! I wish I could get inspiration like that. I love the way the colores all seem to just met together and look natural with the way it all is. I love the softens and the blending of the backgound. I wouldn't change anything about this. it's magnificent!
