SciFi and Fantasy Art: The guardian of picturesDo you sometimes can´t believe that you have drew a picture if you look at it afterwards - because it is SO GOOD?! Yeah, this is because THE GUARDIAN OF PICTURES helped you and did some corrections during the night while you were sleeping... ^.^ He - or she, there are also female guardians - is always with you when you draw a picture. He helps you find inspiration and tell you if something is wrong in your pic! But that is only the nice and friendly side of such a guardian!! He sometimes also can be very filthy: He doesnt help us in finding an idea and let us sit hours in front of a blank white paper without any inspiration. Or he let us try a picture again and again because he does not tell us what is wrong in it or even draw mistakes onto it!! Yes, he can be very bad!! The guardian of pictures is an angel and a devil in one creature. But the bad side of him does not want to make us stop drawing - it only wants us to become better, try harder and learn to keep up! And sometimes the guardian only wants to have fun!! ^.^ Hehe.... His wings are pure energy and can glow in blue, green, yellow, red,....in every colour!! It is different with every guardian! Everybody who likes drawing has such a guardian. But it is not like that that he is able to draw from the first day he/she comes to you!! He is born on the day you find your love of drawing pictures. And from that day on he/she is with you and learns with you!! He/She also has a name - so ask your guardian to tell it to you and your relationship will become closer and better!! ^.^ So, next time if you wake up in the night be aware if you can see some sort of strange light on your desk where your pictures are - it is your GUARDIAN OF PICTURES!! ^.^ ---------------------------------------------- Done with black ink

| 19 Sep 2006 | Kevin G Hansen | I do like your story of the Guardian...but I am afraid I do not have a guardian.... anymore that is... I destroyed it many years ago because it was holding me back from exploreing other areas of my mind....and letting the creativity come forth with no limits... Magdalena Mantler replies: "Destroyed?...Hmmm... I don´t think that you can destroy him that way - also if you think so.... You only could destroy him if you stop drawing - but if you´ve got the feeling that now your creativity flows out with no limits I don´t think your guardian is death... Maybe he began to fight with you - and the result of the fight was the overflowing with creativity... He wanted you to fight to reach this point - and now he´s stil on your side, very glad you reached the new point of creativity!!! I´m sure - what do you think? ^.^ Thanks for your comment!" | |

If I tried to draw something made of energy... my picture gaurdian would be laughing at me. lol Magdalena Mantler replies: "Thanks!!! I´m also very happy about the wings!!! ^.^ hehe.... maybe he/she will laugh - but if you draw him/her with ugly wings he/she will stop laughing... "
| 9 Jun 2007 | Rabid artist | my guardian messes me up on purpose so that i come out with something so different from what i originally wanted, i can only laugh and finish it. rarely do i finish anything with it looking like what i thought it should be. interesting, perhaps i should feed him better, hmmm? anyway great pic love the wings namarie the r.A. Magdalena Mantler replies: "Wehehehe....wonderful comment - made me laugh! ^^Yeah, maybe you should feed him better! Oh my good god, what a wonderful comment! Thank you so much!! ^" | |
| 29 Jun 2007 | Glo 'the Bug' Bowden | So does your Picture Guardian have a name? I love the concept of this by the way. My picture guardian's been asleep for the past little while. I need to give him a poke or two. By the way, I love the cross-hatchy, sketchy look to this, and the wings are fantabulous! He looks very godly standing there with the pencil like that. Magdalena Mantler replies: "Yes, he has got a name, but I´m not allowed to tell anyone, because if I do he will lose some of his power for me...because then everyone could call him... Maybe he´s tired because it´s so hot? " | |
