I suppose I should also mention, that certain details in some of these pics (I believe this is one of them) are also "painted".

They're friends, rushing together into battle. Or at least trying to intimidate somebody. As for Danielle being an artist, computer-rendered art is art too, just a different kind, modelling and photography. The modeler(s) for the poser figure is an artist, too.

Twas Brillig and the Slithy Toves, did gyre and gimble in the wabe; all mimsy were the borogoves, and the mome raths outgrabe.
