SciFi and Fantasy Art: The king of Hyperborea

Another Drawing enspired by the mighty Bal-Sagoth! The King of Hyperborea is a character which is spoken of throughout all of Bal-Sagoth's albums. Hyperborea is a Empire in the north which had a clash of arms with the mighty lord of Chaos Angsaar. The king of hyperborea had no chance of prevailing, but one. He possesed the shadow sword which contained the life essence of a being who had onced lead a battle against the Chaos-liege & had won. To prevail in this battle, the king of hyperborea must join essence with the sword, but the price is not insignificant. The immortal essence (within the sword): '...we must fuse our life-forces and become one so that my full power may be unleashed against Angsaar once more. But this final deed demands the most severe of tolls, o' noble monarch... To become as one with the immortal essence of the Shadow-Sword is to sacrifice forever your mortality, and to forsake eternally the world of man. Are you prepared to pay this price, King of Hyperborea? The King of Hyperborea: 'To preserve the sovereignty of my realm and safeguard my people from the forces of darkness? Aye! For my kingship demands no less a commitment! So be it... let this final deed be done!' 6 Jun 2002	Norbert ´Kijin´ Pustan	Loading... Your style is truly amazing. The depth, shading and texture on this drawing are excellent. The perspective is done well, too...But his hand is just a failure, by my opinion. Apparrently, you did not spend enough time on it. Unfortunately it is even oversized and thus big enough to capture the focus of the entire picture...ruining it. But as I said, everything else looks amazing !

Hmmm not the only person with magic sword and not the only immortal soveriegn of an empire. I bet your army isn't as good as mine. You see I have the power of Dregalaria, which is the greatest of the Tribeast swords. OOOOOOps, shouldn't have said that!!!!
