SciFi and Fantasy Art: The protector

I drew this for my grandmother's birthday. It's a (not-even-close-to-looking-like-me-well-a-bit) portrait, and for that added touch a dragon. this is my modern interpretation of a viking symbol of protection (or so i was told that the symbol was meant to do) which my mother bought me. My gran said it was very calming...aaah...I later painted this onto my bedroom wall with a lot of help from my sister for the filling in.
