SciFi and Fantasy Art: Something old and musty

I did this when I was in a bit of a morbid mood. I don't know exactly what it is, maybe a mummy from a long dead civilization or a cocoon-being or something. I got inspired a lot by the art of Bekinski

Reminds me of death... maybe the mummy thing, but I think he is special, for he is holding the key to something very important! This piece is so compelling. I saw your gallery, and the thumbnail called to me. It's just moving, but in that very morbid way.

"Arise my undead legeons! Harken to your master, and fight for the one that has given you life!!" -the Necromancer from Gihb, 'Kights of Geo'. This is a line from my fantasy story. This pic is very inspiring. Thanks for posting it.

The metal circle that holds the creature is perfectly rendered, its almost like you could extend your hand and touch it. I also love the texture and detail of the body, and the fact that hair seems to grow out of the leathery face mask. Another work of art, if a little morbid, it gives the picture a lot more impact. Congratulations!

while visiting it showed me a recall of fishes, trapped and boxed in metal cases to be humans food.

Clicked the link in GAFF and found your gallery- bloody good job! I particularily like the shadowing on the face and the detail of the wrappings. -ThistledemonHeh, I haven't checked my comments in awhile! Thanks a bunch, I appreciate it. This is (I think) going to be another cover for the Artefakt magazine in Germany. I don't get paid for it, unfortunately, but I like the publicity.
