| 12 Jan 2003 | Lisa Hardy Coleman | Sweetheart, this one of your best I've seen. The severed head fully depicts the soveriegn strength of mind. People to often confuse the mind with the brain. I really like the how the light emits out of the neck. I keep expecting to float off into the void. The pose is nice, but I feel it would be more accurate if she was in an asana like ibis (foot tucked into the groin), but you're a much better artist than I, so I'll shut up and gloat that I have such a wonderfully talented girlfriend. Lisa Coleman replies: "Gah! I'm not dating myself! Who are you? Whoever you are, at least you appreciate the symbolism. " | |

Some decks have the sword point downwards, giving a sort of negative connotation to the card, speaking more of challenges and sacrifice. Here, it's as though the challenges have been met and the sacrifices have been made, and that that remains is the path to victory. | |
