SciFi and Fantasy Art: Stone Gryphon

New version of this pic. I felt I had to add something. The kid with the phoenix feather is Daniel. If you've read the Sandman, you know who he is. The gryphon is still my favorite part of the pic though.

Did you really have to add Daniel in the foreground? I felt that the addition is taking the focus away from the Gryphon. I do like the shadings and the gryphon looks majestic, however, the brightness of Daniel's hair is taking the attention away from the beautiful gryphon that you did. The cut out marble is cool. I don't know how you do it with just the computer. Excellent. Thank you for sharing this painting with us. Max

I love Daniel. He's my favourite character, and everyone says it's obscene that I like him more than Dream. But he's just so neat. This is a beautiful picture.

Very nice!!! It shows the kids past or destiny I think... I like how the gryphon is stone yet he has a feather.

It's a damn shame that kid didn't get a spin-off. I'm really glad you gave him the proper attention. Pretty neat work btw.

I like! The boy's face and the feather makes you really wonder just what he might be thinking about.
