SciFi and Fantasy Art: Victorious

for those of you who have been watching me a very long time, you may recognize this character. this is Kerri Haldane again, she's ©Gavin Riches and is his book character. i must admit that i really love how beat up she looks in this pic, it was really fun to trying to figure out where to place all the cuts and blood. just as a side note, Kerri is park Dark Elf, White Elf and Fallen Heritage. She has a pair of magical wings that are a part of her Fallen heritage and fold within her body when not in use. They are made of pure energy. She also has a living armor on that melds with her body to protect her. incredibaly strong, Kerri is able to even regenerate a limb if lost.
anyways, hope you enjoy!

Even the victourious take wounds. And not all wound are of the body. You can see that her spirit was wounded in the battle. How? The eyes are the window to the soul.

Beautiful picture. The only part of it that doesn't seem to fit to me, though, is the eyes 16 I think it would be more effective if her eyes were black or brown (in contrast to her gorgeous ivory skin). Well great work!

As always, your Art is breathtaking! Her eyes match her wings so well. "Mere life is not a victory and mere death is not a defeat" describes this pretty well, I think. Whatever she triumphed over... took a lot out of her. Her posture seems a lot like she's about to collapse at any moment.

Amazing!

You are probably the best I've seen on Elfwood when it comes to colouring. Fantastic picture. Well done!

This is magnificent! rarely have I seen a single light used so effectively in a colored piece. I have also heard many people bemoaning the difficulty of creating realistic and/or attractive dark or black hair, and this is magnificent, how do you do it! Her proportions seem believable, not too fantasized. The use of two colors which are considered such opposites, as well as a blending of the two. Red and blue, fire and water, anger and peace, as well as a touch of purple, I wonder if this was intentional? And all I can say about the blade is: "COOL"!

I like the way you colored her armor - looks realistic...
