Well, at this point it's not too late to order take-out food yet, if the cooking should prove to take too much deliberation, so perhaps the hapless victic in the cage may yet avoid his fate as pie or mincemeat for a while. Great job on the ogre's expression. And great drawing style in general! Welcome to Elfwood! Richard Svensson replies: "A fellow Scandinavian, I think! Thanks for the welcome note. I find ogres quite endearing. They must be among the best cooks in fairyland, since they're always about to prepare people in the stories they appear."

Supposedly we taste like pork, well thats what I've heard any way. Well otherwise the horn looks a little off, not sure how, just looks like it needs work. And the mans cage does not look like a cage, it looks like a section off a ladder. Would have helped if it where 3D appearing. Would have been a little easier by making a corner very visible (nearly to the point of the front visible area almost being 50% one side and 50% the other side) Other wise, great picture

| 20 Apr 2008 | Aimee | Loading... I hate ogres, but they’re funny because they’re ugly. (Sleeping Beauty’s mother-in-law was an ogre. She wanted to eat her grandchildren.) So gross! Richard Svensson replies: "Well, that’s how it goes sometimes." | |
| 14 May 2008 | Thomas Berndhäuser | Loading... Meat is such a difficult thing to prepare... there are too many things you could do to it so deciding what you actaully will do... well, i think the human stil has some time left. That is quite a nice idea - and you really did a great job on the concentrated look of that ogre. Nice one Richard Svensson replies: "Yes, of course he has. Ogres are stupid (but good chefs)." | |
| 31 May 2008 | Sam Half-Drake Miller | Loading... Can ogres cook? That would require thinking and I’ve seen stumps smarter than these brutes! Richard Svensson replies: "Well, thay always seem to be cooking humans in most fairy tales. So I guess they at least have that quality." | |
| 27 Sep 2008 | Minna Turunen | Loading... Absolutely hilarious!!! Richard Svensson replies: "Thanks! Not sop funny for the guy in the cage, though." | |

rofl, i like it. Richard Svensson replies: "I hope I am forgiven! "
| 2 Dec 2008 | Désirée Ruth Dippenaar | Loading... Awww this picture captures the idea very well! I like the concentration on the ogre’s face. And the way that meat cleaver is sitting stuck in the table. And the poor human in the cage - his face expression is well-captured too. I like how he’s dressed in an old-fashioned way, with the wig and all - it adds to the picture. Great technique too~ Richard Svensson replies: "Thanks! Well, ogres are very sparse today, so I had to set the image in a time where you could still get eaten by one, say around the mid-1700’s. " | |
