SciFi and Fantasy Art: Klarkash-Ton

The writer/artist/sculptor Clark Ashton Smith was integrated in the Cthulhu mythos as the Atlantean high-priest Klarkash-Ton by his friend H P Lovecraft. Behind him rises one of his creations; the primordial slime Ubbo-Sathla.

Another good 'un. I'd like to see more Clark Ashton Smith-related art. Zothique, Hyperborea, Xiccarph--few fantasy locales can compare to Smith's worlds for sheer exoticism and eldritch-ness.

:-) Richard Svensson replies: "Yes; I think Smith's works are comparable to Tolkien's, Howard's, E R Burrough's, etc. I'm doing more pictures based on Smith's short-stories and they will be posted on Elfwood. I wish more people could discover him."
