SciFi and Fantasy Art: Mystic Woman

Here is another ink I did. I cleaned it up a little with Adobe Photoshop. I brightened up the white and added the symbol on her forehead. Other than that this is the original piece. I think the nose could use a little more work...I am brutal at doing noses in inks and in pencils. Any suggestions??

im really sorry but the eye is to high up

The tattoo on her cheek could be a little more curved to follow the countour, as another said. Her nostrils look a trifle "tall" for the perspective, to me, but it doesn't detract, I imagine there are folks with such features. *nod* I don't think her eye is too terribly high...maybe a trifle, but it's nothing that stands out to me, I don't think i would have noticed had someone not commented. Anyhow, I think this is one cool-looking chick, I love what you've done.

Hmm, I really like her... and I think you could do away with any of your own dislike of her nose and those "too high" comments about her eye, if you added a little bit of a nose ridge to her....

Ooooh! Love the penwork here. Great job with the eye and lips. I think the nose looks just fine! Hmmm...the strands of hair over her face have little white lines along the sides...I think it might look better if it was pure black. But anywhoo, this is my second favorite picture in your gallery...after the galaxian unicorn! ^____^

I agree that the eye does seem a trifle high, but who knows. I think it adds a mystic look to her, she reminds me of an older version of death ( sandman )

I think the eye needs work, not the nose. It's not that it isn't detailed or anything, but it's just not shaped like a real eye. People's eyes don't have a perfect curve all the way around; and their lashes come out at more of a curve and to the side. I love the stark contrast in this picture though, and the lips are gorgeous! I think her hair also could look a little more natural, but mostly it's a beautiful picture. the one more thing I'd like to add is that when you draw a design below someone's eye, you have to keep in mind that their cheek is curved, not flat like the paper--so you have to put that perspective into the design while you're drawing it.

I think there's nothing wrong with her nose u could have made her chin a little bit smaller but it doesn't destroy the pic. Great work 19)

i think other people have pretty much said what i think you should correct from this pic, so i won't bore you repeating them like a parrot. have you ever read sandman? i think she looks like detah from that comic. great shading with the lips...

This is a very nice piece. The composition and drastic extremes of black and white, give it a harlequin appearance.

It's been said...eye is a bit too high..so i said it again. 2 When I first looked at it, I thought about the song "Black Magic Woman" by Santana!
