'rising from the near side of the rocky floor there is a glow. The glow of Smaug. there he lay, a vast red-golden dragon, fast asleep; a thrumming came from is jaws and nostrils, and wisps of smoke, but his fires were low in slumber. Beneath him, under all of his limbs and his huge coiled tail, and about him on all side stretching away across the unseen floors, lay countless piles of precious things, gold wrought and unwrought gems and jewels, and silver red-stained in the ruddy light.' Tolkien- The Hobbit Obviously, a Tolkien inspired sculpture. This I what I imagined Bilbo seeing as he peeks into the cave and sees Smaug... the piece is cast in hydrocal and finished in woodstain...I have a few casts of this piece...if you would like one, please check out www.fantasyartcreations.com

18 Mar 2003	Chryssi	Loading... What????? Where are all of the other comments??? This peice of art should have more comments, so heres one now; This is very well done! I love J.R.R Tolkiens, "The Hobbit", this matches Smaug to me!
