Well, updating again :) This time it's only been a year or so since my last update. And I've finally got some new stuff up! Let's see, I managed to get into university :) yay me! And, as Caesar said 'I came, I saw, I passed chemistry!'. Other than that, things are mostly the same. I lived in Toronto , which was a big change, since I'm a country kid :), but now I'm back for the summer in the country, trying to find a job to pay for next year. I guess I should put a little background about myself, so here it is... I was originally born in Holland, and moved to Canada when I was a year old. I only got really into art at highschool, and most of the art you see on the page will be projects from school, or for school. I'm pretty much inspired by anything, reading, television, dreams...whatever catches my eye at the time. I'm probably not going into a career in art (mostly because I don't think I could handle being a starving artist). I'm hoping to do more art now that I'm in university, but finding time to do any is a bit of a challenge :)

Well. I am impressed - most of the work I've seen before, but I like the medium of "bytes" - very bright in presentation. It is obvious that you are beginning to develop your own style and identity in your work. If I can make ANY suggestion: write down your dreams as soon as you wake up - this will help trigger a visual memory when you later read it - and "let it rip" on your canvasses! BTW, good expression with colour - not too obvious and quite sensitive. Keep 'm coming please.

Hi Maaike, another Asselbergs commenting here...
I like your stuff! I'm building a website with (to begin with...) some historical stuff on the Asselbergs family. I'm also placing links to all other asselbergs homepages I can find on my site, I'll include yours! (well, this one atleast...)
Bye for now,

It's now Christmaseve in The Hague in The Netherlands and we were just looking around on Internet and we discovered your site. It's great. We have the same familyname as you have, so we decided to react. You have a typical Dutch name by the way!!!!!!
Phoenix is great! Keepup the wonderful work, I was surprised to find you didn't have more comments, it's all so imaginative! I'll definatly be back if you tell me when you update.
