SciFi and Fantasy Art: Antoine and Maurice

You know, all the elves I see always look so pretty and dainty. Where are all the not-so-pretty elves? Are they shot on site? Are they sent off to not-pretty-elf camps?* Where are all the elves who are getting that middle-aged paunch? Balding? Cranky and arthritic?

So here's one. (He's the one on the left.) And his name is Antoine. The other one's Maurice, and I got no idea what he is, but he's probably not an elf.

Anyway, I like them.

*Yes, yes, I know, Tolkien, elves are immortal and otherworldy and whatever. I still say they can't *all* be pretty.

It's so silly to me when people have big debates on what a dragon looks like or how elves are meant to behave. Great picture. I love the facial expressions... I wonder what they are talking about. I don't know, that's what I see it as. Then again, I've been studying for about five hours and my brain's a little shot. Anyway, I think it's funny.
17 Jul 2005	Elin Knudsen	Loading... Ugly? I can't see anyone ugly... I think they are... not pretty, but handsome. In a manly way. I rather like his (Antoine's) eyes, and they both look very sympathetic to me! So I say screw the pretty elves, make way for the manly, bald and overweight elves lol
