SciFi and Fantasy Art: The (fallen) Angel of Earthly delights....

An Angel, that has been cast down for partaking in sins of the flesh and marking the perfect body he has been granted (tatt on his chest), turns his back on the icon of the deity who abandoned him. This is a complete step away from my other angel pic. Unlike 'Sensation of Flight' there is no attempt at any from of realism here. This work was heavily influenecd by the great anime work of Heather A. Harvey (gallery 554). Please know that while this work draws it's inspiration from anime works it is not meant to be anime. Technical info: Pencil drawing, then inked, then coloured and the background added in Photoshop. I'm not sure but I think this may be my best hand drawn/PS coloured work to date.

Maclean replies: "The unearthly glow was a done using a series of soft selections (selections which were feathered or painted in Quickmask) then filled using progressive colours or filled with a gradient Hope that helps and thanks for commenting."
