SciFi and Fantasy Art: Lest We Forget....1

This is the first of two images showing an old medieval battle field. Only two remmanants show that people ever died here. Both of the images were completely done in 3d. The only downside of the small image size is the lack of detail in the grass, flag and pattern work on the blade. The two images were inspired by the last shot in Braveheart.

10 Jan 2001	Sean M. Sponsler	Loading... You have excellent rendering skills. I like this one a lot but even more, knowing its inspiration was drawn from the last scene in Braveheart. This is the kind of thing I like. Medieval battles have always captured my interest. I tihnk the dusk sky works better on this piece. The sheen on the sword helps immensely (in my mind) to create the atmosphere. I hope to do this same type of thing (rendering and 3d animation) for a career in the computer gaming business. I love your other art as well, but this one caught my eye. Awesome.
15 Aug 2001	William Li	Loading... smiles at the picture ;D i like the other version with the blue sky better. this one looks unnatural, as if the reddish sky has no (colour) effect on the grass and other objects. i like the depth of field in the image. and that's a nice sword design.

14 Aug 2005	Nelleke Pieters	Loading... this is so beautiful... it really symbols (not a word, I know, I know -_-") the silence after the battle, that whatever happened and whatever meant a lot before will fade... ok the way I put it it's depressing but I hope you know what I mean ^-^
