SciFi and Fantasy Art: Monument

This was a request piece just to show the detail on the blade from the 'Lest We Forget' images, but I've really grown to like the monumental aspect of the blade from this angle. It looks...powerful and solemn. From this POV the detail on the blade (incl the etching on the front) is a lot more visible. Unfortunately, so is the low poly count on the ribbon and some problems with the leather work on the hilt. I think I'd like to rework this image and correct the probs at a later date.

Danielle- I'm scotish. This sword is so awesome. With the celtic pattern on the blade and the piece of tworn kilt on the sword blowing in the wind is so well expressed. I love your artwork, and someday i hope I can draw as well as you can! Please come to our site and leave a comment, it would mean a lot to us! http://hummingbirdbay.tripod.com
