| 12 Nov 2005 | Sam 'Serrik' Nii | Whats the blue cat thingy? and what Media did you use? Jason E Cousineau replies: "The cat is a psychic construct of a disembodied entity. It's an animal entity and chooses to take the form of a cat. Laurel knows more but hasn't seen fit to share with me. All of my art was done on paper with pencil, then scanned into the machine and colored using photoshop and a tablet. Long live Wacom!" | |
| 8 Jan 2006 | Rochelle Green | It is nice to see you using such bold strokes here, they really add to the dynamism of the characters. Something I have noticed about your images, is that you don't simply capture your characters posing - they seem to be part of some greater scene, as in here where the characters are moving to the right. It seems to me you have some greater knowledge of storytelling through your images. You know that a picture is something more than what is represented. Ofcourse you would know this, because you are a writer! But you know, it's not something I see around the woods that often. Jason E Cousineau replies: "Thanks for the comment! Yes, as I draw I generally come up with a story behind the image. A sort of "why are they here doing this" kind of story. Sometimes, it's just a pose picture done to show the character's physical appearance. As nearly every character I draw is tied to a story or RPG, I do this to cement the character in my head." | |
