SciFi and Fantasy Art: Rise The Dracolich

A stooped shadowed figure paces about the circle of power. If all has gone to plan the runes of power should be able to contain the primevil power to be awoken. Within the runes lies the heaped remains of a long dead dragon. Orbs bloated and rotting away, bone and sinew exposed. With a dire chant the corpse glows with an ethereal power and the beast stirs to life at the utter of it's true name.Little does the wizard expect the dracolich's true power though. For with one blaze of goslty energies from it's eyes, the circle is broken asunder. This is not the typical undead; brought back with all the instinct and power of a dragon but with much much more. The wizard screams in terror only he can know for the dracolich belches forth gostly blue spellfire that ingulfs his body, his very escence and tears his soul to shreds.lol I guess that's discriprion enough to bad I had to butcher the pic to get it up though. Acrilic on bristol.

The wizard got what he deserved. No redundant wards, that just says "Eat me". Cool picture and story.

It is one of the most amazing paintings I have seen of a dracolich .
