| 9 Apr 2002 | Elfen Succubus <wolf_nymph@hot... | It is so cute. It looks exactly like my atlantians: they are cute little water elementals that live in sunken cities. They are composed of H2O and only H2O. They basically live in an amazonian world since they are ALWAYS female. All of them die young. They live only for 9 to 12 years and are about the size of a newborn baby when they are first created(not born, they are made when someone dies in a shipwreck or drowns, they are then created and represent the soul and heart of that person,in other words, they are the water-based, elemental spirits of the person)and are slightly larger than a child of 2 months of age when fully grown at 2 years of age. They are very energetic and love to discover underwater caves and sun-bathe on the white sand beaches and rocks. Like sirens, they love to rest on rocks and sing, but instead of the sad songs the sirens sing that lure sailors to their dooms, the atlantians sing happy, wild songs that tend to give the sailors joy rather than kill them. They are very shy and don't last long in captivity. They don't live in colonies or groups, instead they choose an infant water-type animal(baby dolphins, baby whales, baby whale sharks, baby manatees, and baby turtles to live and play with them and keep them company. They often can be found near ancient ruins submerged by water. They live in peace and don't even know the meaning of the word "war." | |
| 24 Apr 2002 | Julia | I like her and you did just fine. If they do really exist, no one has ever seen one and if they don't exist, then they can look however you want them to! | |
| 28 May 2002 | Deborah L. R. Dixon | I love these little merfolk. I always picture them as really little. There are nifty water snails ya know.... One of the fresh water snails is bright yellow, very rounded, it would like this mermaid. | |
| 15 Aug 2002 | Howard faria | I think she is very cute, but the tail seems to be struggling with the rest of her. umm, mb try turning the tail the other way...over her head, encircling her...or... Dunno, it's worth trying different things to get the right fit. Magnolia Blaire Busse replies: "I don't know, I actually kind of like the awkwardness of her thin tail. She seems more jelly fish like rather than mermaid. Jellyfish who if they get stuck in a tide or something just have to go along with it, 'cause hey.. jelly. Though I will heed your advice for the next one. I'd even maybe try to fix this one, but.. I lose drawings all the time. " | |
| 7 Sep 2002 | Liz Nanney | She looks like a mermaid baby, or juvenile, or spawn, or whatever you want to term a mermaid youngster. ^^ I like the head and face the best; it looks so curious. | |
| 16 Sep 2002 | Michael Q AArsvold | She's cute! Really. (-: You should do more of these. I think she could use slightly longer fingers, though... | |
| 1 Nov 2002 | Kris Richard Lachowski | I've rarely seen a more unique notion of a mermaid. If I didn't like it for any other reason I'd like it for that reason alone. | |
| 13 Feb 2003 | Amanda Jade Rampenthal | Awww...shes so cute! I love her little belly! Don't listen to stupid people, shes perfects just like that!!!! ) | |
| 14 Apr 2003 | Ashleigh | Why would someone waste there time even writing that??? Keep your stupid comments to yourself. I think its perfect the way it is! | |
| 19 Sep 2003 | Miriam F. Loomis | Ooo, I love it! No hair, nothing really there that's from your typical mermaid! That's what makes it so great. Very cute though, love how you just gently added color, but nothing too overpowering. Great job! Love your style. I wanna see more! *Luffs the bubble belly, despite other's comments* | |
