SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Lovers

I don't know who these people are, but sooo many people have said 'Omigad! that's ME and MY boyfriend!' Anyhow, I want to work them into a story of mine... Perhaps Seliin will meet them at some point? Anyhow, a lot of detail got lost in the scan... the red/brown highlights in her hair, for instance. And, like most of my work, it's not finished. Note that his legs are missing... Or just not painted in yet. And there's no background. Backgrounds are my nemesis. They shall perish in flames...

I do like this, but I was a little bothered by his right hand (the one that is lower down). It looks a little on the small side, out of proportion to the other one. But nice emotion in the faces.

I though this was very beautiful. The cloth is absolutely amazing, the folds and the way it flows. I also agree about the man, he doesn't seem.....right. He seems more feminine than he should, I think. At least his face and neck do, maybe a bit more thickness to the neck and a stronger chin would do it? Overall, very nice. I love wrapping my arms around my girlfriend like the man is, it's just very sensual.

Wow! Now that is a good picture

You might wish to choose a color for the gentleman's pants. The first glimpse gave the illusion of a floating torso. The fabric is quite good, but its red vibrancy against the starkness of the figures takes away from them. You might try just a touch darker of a shade on the man's lips than natural skintone to remove a lipstick effect. You should try a fanned out more circular shading under the woman's breast to keep it from looking flat.

Love how you did the dress/robe/skirt, it adds a sensualtiy to the whole thing. Although the ladies boobie is in the middle of her chest it still looks great
