SciFi and Fantasy Art: Black Petals

Aida and Eoran were different people, from different worlds. Aida was tortured in her own world, haunted by a dark man who loved her. She found Eoran, and together they found a freedom from their different lives. Eoran, however, needed the traditional blessing of his gods. In his world, the couple would spend one night together, sprinkling red rose petals on the bed. In the morning, if the petals had turned white, then the relationship had been blessed. If they were black, they were not meant to be together...

(I'm not even sure if this story will eventually have a happy ending. Still putting bits and pieces of it together. Yes, ANOTHER story idea. So sue me. ;))
