I had been jobless for about a month and was drawing like mad back in June... This was about the only piece I liked aside from one that doesn't fit the theme here at all... I lost track of how many hours went into this... It was something like 30, though, I think... I didn't have much else to do, so between sleeping, job hunting and mooching free food off of my parents, this is what I did. It actually started out as a facial study for that position... I've wanted to do so many drawings with characters looking up that just never came out right, so I turned on my QuickCam and started snapping pictured, gridded it out and drew the face inside the grid.. Later, I extended the canvas, added in the shoulders, chest, and what you can see of the upper arms... I got bored again later and still felt it looked incomplete, so I extended it further to add in part of the tail... Later, the tail got finished and I'd had enough. I was afraid that if I tried to finish her right arm off, I'd just mess up the picture 'cause I'm not so good with hands, so I just left it how it was. Also, this piece was done from beginning to end in Photoshop.
