If you look too closely, it's overly symetrical. But, it's way better than what I can do on a dwarf!!! (because all the things I draw look so feminine for some odd reason). Well done, and screw that dude who keeps on making those annoying remarks. You know, he just ruined my day. I was all happy and stuff when I woke up and he just had to remind me of all the negative elements of the world. Yes, I'm a weird one. 2

Hey you buncha losers! Stop making such rude comments about this pic! It was made a long time before Lord of the Rings came out! You bunch of low lying snake in the grass losers!!!!!
(Peace out) Shadower

wow... this is great. He reminds me of Gimli or Thorin from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Very well done! I can only find one flaw...

For some reason, to me it looks like his chin is sort of overlapping his beard. Maybe the hairline is a bit too smooth, maybe it's just me.

Very nice job, overall!

I can see no problem with this pic...It's amazing...And, it looks nothing like gimli...This guy is way too original...Amazing

2 Manon Yapari replies: "Thanks for the support! Although I guess I have to admit I wasn't very good with Photoshop when I made this pic. Perhaps it would be nice to know that I plan to do full figure portraits of all the Fabled Lands characters in the near future."

Full figure portraits are nice, but I love your art work the way it is. This particular picture shows stern qualities and boldness. The audacity shown makes him that more interesting. All you people making fun of this piece don't know what art is about. You've got to look beyond the painting and see what the character is feeling.
I'll be looking at more of your artwork!

Hmm... I fail to see what Sandor and Gimli have to do with each other, aside from the fact that they are both dwarves. Sandor's character was designed and drawn long before either Manon or I read LotR. Sandor belongs to the Goldbristles Clan, which is why he has golden blond hair. Aside from that, Sandor is a Boar Rider. Furthermore, Sandor is a young dwarf while Gimli is definitely a more seasoned character. Frankly, Sandor does not even resemble Gimli in appearance by far. IMO those who seem to think so badly need to have their eyes checked!

You made his face facial form and strong, but very handsome all the same. This is not just a human with a beard, it is in fact a dwarf. Well done!

A very masculine face, a bit angry and sweet all at once, great job!
