| 27 Sep 2000 | Elven Angel | First comment? Huh. Beautiful technically, though I think the shading is a bit too smooth. The composition though, is bleh for me, since it seems cluttered on the right side and empty on the left, with the swords sticking out of the picture.I see what you mean. I think your right. I actually have a background for this one, but I didn't like it very much, so I cut it out. Perhaps I should repost this with the background. The sword is rather cut-off.. : igh:: | |
| 11 Oct 2000 | Sean | I just recieved a wonderfull gift from you... thanks. This was my first time viewing your work and I have to say your imagination holds me in awe as much as your art. Do not ever stop, or you will have some loyal fans as upset as the writers with thier unfinished fantasy series'!Your more than welcome! I love creating work that inspires people. Anything that helps others see the wonder of imagination is definately worth creating. I'm greatful that you like my work. Worry not, I'll never stop creating and improving as long as there are people out there I feel I can comunicate with. | |
| 18 Nov 2000 | Melissa Fujimoto | The range of motion and action are great, but, it looks like you cut it out or something? the blank background (even without hand smudgies) looks kinda...like they're in a void or something...I can't get anything by you people! ::hangs head in guilt:: I did in fact cut out the background cause I just didn't like it at all. I guess the piece doesn't really hold up on its own either. The constructive critisism I have received on this one has helped me alot with my view of composition. I honestly wish I'd get more of this type of comment. | |
| 18 Jan 2001 | Kate Shenk/Etak the Thivis | I like the smooth shading. True, it doesn't really show the texture of their fur (if they have any, I've drawn fur-less anthros, so I can't say too much) but it's different than the norm...wow...that was amazincly lucid of me with these painkillers... Coolbeans! Shane M. Mans replies: "These guys definately didn't turn out as I originaly planned, but I like em anyway." | |
| 20 Feb 2001 | Thaily Brimstone | Hmm, gotta love it. Besides the poses, I love all the little things, the leopards spots, the hilt of the wolfs swords. And the shading ofcourse. Is it hard to make it that smooth? Shane M. Mans replies: "Making it that smooth was done via a bit of touch-up in Painter 5 (I now use Panter 6)" | |
| 7 Mar 2001 | Sparhawk | *astonished* Why, it's the Grey Mouser! *hides from the pun-impaired* Shane M. Mans replies: "*smack*" | |
| 25 Mar 2003 | Carolin Emily Southern | Cool swords. Go leopard lady with cloak. i realy like this, though the composition is kinda un balanced. I personaly like the shading. Shane M. Mans replies: "Yeah the compostion is a bit off. It was originaly part of a larger picture, but these two were the only things I liked in the piece, so I cut em out and pasted em together this way." | |
| 10 Mar 2004 | Leann | very nice. I like that it's the dog, cat kinda thing, you know, how they are "enemies", its almost as if in time of need, enemies are drawn together..or maybe i'm thinking too much..me no know...but very nice!
And I also must say, it would look very nice with a background, and so if you can repost with background, you would get alot of posative (sp?) feedback! | |
| 13 Jun 2004 | Jan Peter Müller | Wow...you're did some great furries here! Great idea with feline and canine... You know what? I love their poses.. i can hear the wolfish howl.. *hehe! Well, it's a thing with the background, but it has expression as well. | |
