SciFi and Fantasy Art: Who Wants to Live Forever (Finished)

They were together since an early age, kindred spirits although their bodies are very different. Their love unquestioned, their bond unbreakable. She is immortal, he is not...both new this day would eventually come. Now that her greatest reason for living is gone, of what use is eternal life? A picture inspired by the scene where McLoud's wife dies of old age in the first Highlander movie (still the best one). That scene has always moved me to tears, the title was taken from the music playing at that time.

Here is finally the finished version of this drawing. Too dark for you? Try lowering the lights, it helps. Enjoy.

Oh my gosh, it's so sad!! I love the way you portrayed it. I can feel like I'm in there sharing her pain and loneliness. I like the way it's so dark, it really ads to and reflects the mood. Congrats on the Mod Pick, you deserve it 1

This is great. The coloring you used almost makes it look like a bronze sculpture. (And how can I not like it when you paid tribute to the best Queen song *ever* in my humble opinion!)

A well executed picture, I must say. Love the darkness with illuminated high-lights. It offers a sorrowful note to the tragedy of immortality depicted here.
