SciFi and Fantasy Art: Elle

This is a fairy charactor of mine that I roleplay. She is an Illusionist that likes to clothe herself in the Illusion that she is a kinda bland human girl. This came from the Idea that someone undid her Illusion and she is just realizing that it happened. This was all done on the computer by the way.

A blue elf! Can life be better than this????? *don't think so* Really nice piece of art. You are VERY talented since you are able to do this just on the computer *smile* So, then maybe you have some hints for me as I begin my computer-coloring-career. *looks up with a hopeful smile on her manga too-large-eyes-for-her-own-good face* I have only two small problems: 1.The photoshop program can't load a picture so I have to scan it and begin from scratch every time. 2.It doesn't work. What should I do??? Well, It sounds like you have computer problems if Photoshop isn't working. Now, what I like to do is have all the tool windows open. Just go to the Windows dropdown menu in Photoshop, and select the layers, swatches, and navigator windows to start with. Start a new layer and set that layer to "Multipy" over the background picture. What Multiply does is set the layer to a sort of transparancy. It will color in whatever is behind it without getting rid of shading with the black. Experiment with different layer settings. If you need, feel free to E-mail me.

Did it entirely in Pshop, huh? Interesting...it's very good, and the colors work well.

:-) Mariette S. Rose replies: "Yeah, I've decide that this actually isn't Elle, but the wayt Elle's mother looks. Expecially since in the comic Elle is a cute little girl..."

<bursts out laughing> That's the BEST picture of a double-take I've ever seen! The expression is great, too. Only nitpick - my feet hurt just LOOKING at hers... feet don't hyperextend that far... good thing she's flyin', ne?

AW IT'S TOTALLY CUTE!!! It looks remarkably like one of my RP characters, Ki, who's a blue elf girl who can shift into a minute sapphire dragon made for shoulders and laps....could you draw her PLEASE?! Just picture somethin' just like ur kawaii blue elf, only in a white gown and dark blue dragon's wings! ~stares in awe of the cute fluttering thing~ Hehe!

So cute! And I don't mean to be a damper, but I was glancing at this and thinking that something was weird about the feet... the ankle bends back too far. I dunno, though... maybe fairies have a slightly different body structure than humans. (Other than the wings... and size... and ears...)
