SciFi and Fantasy Art: Triumphiant

I'm not entirely sure what this is about really, which for me really is a change. I started to draw this for a friend, because she wanted a fake tattoo done in pen to freak out another friend. I did the head at the beginning, and after a little deliberation came up with this. Believe it or not, the entire process took two days. The grass was added in photoshop, and the thing was modified to get rid of the blue lines on the paper. Thanks for all your help with naming. I've decided on using the name Azela for this charactor. And in the future when I name them it will be from 'B' to 'Z' as the begining letters...if I get that far.

The creature that you drew so wonderfully in this picture is actually calld a "Felpurr", a cat with the shape of a human. I used to play Wizardry and the Felpurr race comes from those games. Blessed Be!! Sounds neat!

I love the colouring! I can't think of a name, though.. She's got an awesome look on her face. Great name. 2 I know, San's name is a funny one, but I don't exactly picture this creature flaunting the name. I chose Azela as the final name, and redid this charactor in a postcard.

I DO like the expression and pose. Sometimes the spontaneous pics turn out the best.

Heh heh heh ... for some reason those glassy-eyed bunnies make me laugh .... maybe I'm too morbid, or maybe you've managed to draw a defaced icon of cuteness so tastefully that the defacement is no longer offensive. Perhaps the muscles in the right arm could be tensed and bulging out a little further, to give the illusion of the weight of the bunnies, but overall the composition is very good.

:-) Mariette S. Rose replies: "Hmmm, the thing about this is that I actually have a pet rabbit and used the way she looks when sprawled out on the ground as reference... "

Wait-a-minute! How do you intend on using Photoshop on your friends arm?

:-) Mariette S. Rose replies: "Huh? What are you talking about? "

How were you passing this off as a fake tattoo? :-P That'd be a trick. Anyway, this is a great picture. The string of rabbits is an unusual (and impressive) detail. And... you did this on lined paper? I would NEVER have guessed if you hadn't told! <kneels in deep respect> Would it be possible to teach me how you did it? I have any number of pictures that I've done on school notes and things that I would LOVE to be able to clean up and post...

FURRIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Uh... yeah. 2 Nifty job.... I think she's cute! =^_^= She kind of reminds me of an Elf tho, but I'm sure that's all on my end and not in the drawing. 2

I like the motion of the figure, the tail gives the form fluidity as well. I wish there were more backdrop to see 2
