My school mascot is a lion. Once, the cheerleaders were holding up the letters and they switched around the I and the O by accident so it said "LOINS".. *giggle*

Anyway, cute picture! ^_^

:-) Mariette S. Rose replies: "Hehehehe! I'm sure the principal had something to say about THAT! "

<laughs> And here my school principal is busy complaining that our school mascots shouldn't be the Braves anymore because it isn't politically correct... <evil gryn> ......too bad I'm not the prankster type...

Bleah... my school's thing is a knight on a horse. So every time there's a dance or something, they play off the theme "A Knight to Remember"... bloody stupid.

The Belfast Area Highschool has the sucky lions again. We also have a superhero as a mascot called "Spirit Man" he runs around in a blue and gold spandex wrestling uniform and has metallic gold boxers to go over those and a gold ski mask to go on his head and a towel as a cape. Of course we all know who 'Spirit Man' is but one time he ran out onto the field and one of the players from the other team stood there like an idiot while one of our players ran up and sacked him! Wahahhahaha! It's funny to watch!

We're the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartains. One of the teachers drew a comic for the school newspaper (he's a big marvel comics fan) where a spartain got zapped out of a battle and into our football feild during a game. I think he got clobbered. Hehheh.
The teacher never drew the next comic to the story so we never found out how the Spartain dude turned out b/c they shrunk the strip too small. =/

My school mascot is a Viking too! but judging from your position on the map, you are a ways away from California.

Horned helmet? No.
Bird wings, especialy raven's wings, were accounted lucky, and there is some evidence- sagas and carvings- that winged helmets did exist; but the only time any Viking ever had a horn on his head was a quaffed and upended drinking horn.

My Mascot is Apollo....now as for the fact that we always loose, I DO believe Apollo won most or all of his challenges when he was given them by other gods, we have no mascot, our school can't afford a costume.
