SciFi and Fantasy Art: Bayview from the Treetops

The port/city in the distance is called Imara, which is to say there's a story attached to this drawing, although most of it is still stuck in the deeper recesses of my brain. Requests for a colored version of this piece have been made and I'm thinking about getting started with that especially after the success I had with coloring the Forest Child piece.

Hey filipina! I'm half filipino, but I've never been there or learned the langage *sigh*

this is a beautiful picture. I love that tree.

Your work is all about the details. I could look at these pics for hours and still find suprising bits that make me smile. This is no exception, though like a lot of others I would love to see it painted.

1 Mary Rose J. Magpily replies: "Ok, yet another vote for 'Pro Paint-This-Piece'. I am pleased. "

This may sound really strange and don't take it the wrong way but... I don't think you should color it. I think that part of it's beauty is in it's simplicity. it says all it needs to say with it's orginal color and I think it might take away from the peice to color it. But that's just me... really wonderful by the way--stunning.

11 Mary Rose J. Magpily replies: "Hello, Strange Creature! Thanks for your comment. Your thoughts on the subject will be taken into consideration, rest assured. I do agree with you to some degree, but I think a colored version has something unique to offer to the visual senses as well. Anyways, I don't think I'll be getting around to coloring this anytime soon should I ever decide to do so. "
